Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
Beta release
TechieVue™ Forms is currently offered as a beta release. Features may change, appear, or be removed without notice, and interruptions are more likely than in a finished product. Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, and report problems through the Send feedback link in the footer.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, signing in, or using TechieVue™ Forms (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use (also referred to as our Terms of Service). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy.
Who may use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you use the Service on behalf of a school, venue, production company, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization. Crew members who sign up for a call through a public sign-up link do not need an account, but their use of that link is also governed by these terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Each account is for one person — do not share your password or let others sign in as you. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact support.
Your content
You own the forms, entries, notes, and photos you create in TechieVue Forms (your “Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, sync, and display your Content back to you so the Service can function — for example, saving a draft, rendering a print preview, or generating a shareable link.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your Content and for having the rights to any photos or images you upload. Do not upload material that is unlawful, confidential, or infringes someone else’s rights.
Ownership of the Service
The Service itself belongs to TechieVue. That includes the application and its source code, the visual design and layout, the TechieVue™ name and logo, and the wording, structure, and arrangement of the form templates in the library. These are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and to fill out, save, and print the form templates for your own productions and for the productions of the organizations you work for.
You may not:
- Resell, license, redistribute, or republish the form templates or the template library, in whole or in part, whether or not modified.
- Copy or imitate the design, layout, or branding of the Service in another product.
- Use the TechieVue™ name, logo, or tagline without our prior written permission, including in marketing, app listings, or domain names.
- Scrape, bulk-export, or otherwise extract the template library to build a competing service.
This section does not affect your ownership of your own Content, described above.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, without limitation:
- Attempting to access another user’s data or circumvent access controls.
- Using the email-share or form-request feature to send spam or messages to people who have not agreed to receive them.
- Uploading viruses, malware, or harmful code.
- Interfering with the Service’s infrastructure or imposing unreasonable load.
Misuse may result in suspension of the offending feature or your account. See Account & Data to manage or delete your account at any time.
Offline use & sync
TechieVue Forms stores a copy of your in-progress work on your device so you can keep working without an internet connection. When you reconnect, the app syncs your changes to the server. You are responsible for the physical security of any device that holds your offline data. Because data is edited on-device first, the most recent save wins when a conflict is detected — keep your devices online and synced to avoid surprises.
Email sharing & form requests
The Service can email form links and form requests on your behalf. Per-user rate limits apply to protect deliverability for everyone. You are responsible for the recipients and content of messages you trigger. We may suspend the email feature for accounts that abuse it.
Service availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, updates, or events outside our control (including outages by our hosting or database providers) may make the Service temporarily unavailable. Because your in-progress work is stored locally first, a temporary outage does not lose your data.
Crew sign-up boards & shared links
Crew sign-up boards and shared form links are reachable by anyone who has the link. You decide who receives them. Only post information on a board that you are comfortable showing to everyone you send the link to, and do not include personal details about crew members beyond what is needed to staff the call. You are responsible for the accuracy of calls you post and for honoring or cancelling them with the people who sign up.
AI features
Some features use AI to read a link, document, or pasted text and suggest values for a form or a show. Content you submit to those features is sent to our AI provider to generate the result. AI output can be wrong or incomplete — always review it before you rely on, print, or distribute a document. You are responsible for having the right to submit the material you upload or link to.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties for hosting, database storage, email delivery, and AI processing. Their availability and their own terms affect the Service. Links to outside websites are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse them.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions, feature requests, or form requests, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation or payment to you. Your underlying Content remains yours.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material in the Service infringes your copyright, contact us with a description of the work, where the material appears, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized. We will review and remove infringing material where appropriate, and we may disable accounts of repeat infringers.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TechieVue and its operators from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of anyone else’s rights.
Limitation of liability
TechieVue Forms is a tool to help you fill out and organize production paperwork. It is not a substitute for professional or legal advice, and you are responsible for the final documents you produce. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranty of any kind, and our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the fees you have paid us (if any) in the preceding twelve months.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where practical.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Account & Data page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content ownership, limitation of liability, and these terms themselves) remain in effect.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and TechieVue agree to try to resolve any dispute informally first by contacting us. If that fails, the dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction.
General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and TechieVue about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service.
